I really like these arrangements, Sean McGowan is an amazing guitarist, the songs sound really, really good. But they are definitely challenging, just be aware; these are very advanced, I know it will be a long, long time before I'm able to play them. If ever really... maybe best left for people who have a guitar teacher and can get some help with it.Personally I'm learning at slower speeds, I'm really feeling like I'm making progress, some parts I can actually play normal speed now (after months though...), others (like when switching to right hand fingering) I'm still struggling with. Putting the songs in Guitar Pro helped me: easier to slow it down, work with a metronome and still be able to listen to what it should sound like when I'm struggling, which is often. So definitely not for the beginner, I'd say intermediate-advanced to full-on advanced level, but very interesting. Also, this is not really intended as a lessons book, there aren't too many explanations, I think for more detailed explanations you have to look into his other book - fingerstyle jazz guitar essentials. I think it might be better to start with that other book and then try this one. That seems to be the progression I'm understanding.
